Hello!

You are not alone. It can be challenging to navigate life transitions while trying to discover and understand your true authentic self. Symptoms such as hopelessness, inadequacy, lack of motivation, and racing thoughts can complicate matters more. Many people have also experienced trauma, which can create further barriers to self-growth. You are so courageous for taking this first step toward healing and taking back control of your life. I will create space for you that feels warm, empathetic, non-judgmental, and safe to process your thoughts and feelings while learning new skills to help you cope.

I believe every person and the challenges they face are unique and different from one another, therefore each person’s treatment should be individualized. I would consider myself to be eclectic, borrowing many different techniques and interventions to help people. My approach also tends to be in a collaborative manner that also focuses on the person as a whole.

I have a varied background, but my focus is working with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and soul searching. Let’s process challenges, increase self-awareness, learn new skills, and build optimism toward your future life and goals. I’m ready to walk this path with you, bearing witness to your transformation.

In Pennsylvania I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Millersville University and went on to receive my Master’s degree at Immaculata University for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have worked in the mental health field since 2016 in a variety of positions and settings, including schools, outpatient therapy, and an adventure residential treatment center.

When I am not working, I am usually spending my time out in nature exploring the beautiful mountains. I enjoy hiking, fly fishing, camping, birding, kayaking, and snowboarding. I also like playing board games and cards, as well as reading a book, playing basketball, and listening to music.

I look forward to working with you! To schedule please give us a call at (828) 407-0355 or email at hello@borntobendcounseling.com
