Brianna Cuthrell, Owner
MSW, LCSW, LCAS, MAC
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). I earned my Masters degree from Colorado State University before moving to Asheville, North Carolina. I am excited to go on this journey with you of self-healing, feeling empowered and finding your full potential to be successful in the world we live in. My specialities include working with children, adults, adolescents and their families. My work has involved working in private practice, K-12 educational settings, community mental health, and in-home services. I can also provide CADC supervision to professionals looking for a higher level certification in the state of North Carolina.
I provide a safe and positive space for clients to identify and understand their emotions and identify and utilize coping strategies. I have worked with clients who struggle with depression, social skills deficits, anxiety, substance abuse, boundary setting, effective communication, self-injurious behavior and disordered eating. I believe in the whole person and I have a holistic approach to supporting clients. I believe that each client is unique and differs based on client needs, therefore, my approach is eclectic—utilizing techniques from several theoretical orientations including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.
I encourage my clients to recognize their mind-body connection as I believe both the mind and body are powerful allies in achieving overall wellness. I am looking forward to working alongside you in your journey to the best version of yourself.
